Unclutter Your Life in One Week
Congratulations to Erin Doland of Unclutterer on the release of her book Unclutter Your Life in One Week. I'm a big fan of the blog and am looking forward to reading the book when it arrives here in my office.
Today is the day Unclutter Your Life in One Week officially goes on sale. It has been a roller-coaster ride, and I am so glad to finally be at this stage in the process. Expanding the Unclutterer message to a new medium is honestly a dream come true. My sincerest desire is that this book will help people discover the benefits of an uncluttered life and inspire them to clear the clutter to pursue what they value most.

Don’t Put Off Reading This
The Unclutterer blog is a great resource about getting and staying organized. I notice they are posting some excerpts from an upcoming book and I really liked these Eight strategies to stop procrastinating. Might have to add this one to the wish list...
That’s My Bag
Back in April, I and the other writers for Web Worker Daily contributed what I thought was an interesting collection of articles detailing what we as mobile workers carry around in our bags. It proved to be a revealing exercise as it really showed that despite some general similarities in our jobs and responsibilities, the tools that we choose to use often varied greatly.
The take-away: choosing the right tool for the job is critical - but there are often many choices and sometimes it's more about how they fit your style and that of your business than what someone else has determined is "best."
Manage Your Expenses
Creating and managing expense reports might sound like a big company / corporate issue but even the sole proprietor needs to keep personal and business expenses separate. Add a few employees to the mix and things can get real messy, real quick.
The folks over at Expensify share some great tips on how to Prevent, Reduce and Stop Expense Report Fraud, useful information even if you don't use their service.
A Place For Your Stuff
Being organized means having a place for your "stuff," and with the tools and services available today there is no reason not to have a system for maintaining and indexing all of the information that you need.
While some services are better suited for different content than others, a good all purpose organizer is Springpad. I have recently adopted it and in my most recent Web Worker Daily post, I explain why it is my organizational tool of choice.
